Bank Penalty Claims - About Us
Over 18 years experience behind your complaint
CLAIMS was founded in 1989 - a dozen years before all the other firms that now help consumers win compensation from financial firms in the UK. We have dealt with almost every type of financial scam and won our clients over £20 million. CLAIMS is well known at the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) which handles our most complex cases.
The business was founded by Paul Cooper, a financial journalist, who resigned from his job as deputy editor of Channel Four TV's Sunday Business Programme and led a campaign against Home Income Plans, a dangerous investment product based on people remortgaging their homes and putting the money into “broker bonds” – even worse than the splits and zeros that have lost people millions in recent times. He won all his clients full compensation and saved two of them from suicide.
We have been helping people who have been on the receiving end of bad practice by banks, building societies and financial advice companies for over eighteen years. Due to our expertise we are currently winning all credit card and loan penalty cases and large numbers of claims for loan protection policies. See our other website LoanProtectionClaims.com. We also specialise in complaints against policies managed by Windsor Life that were formerly sold by General Portfolio or GAN and have won approximately a million pounds for people unfortunate enough to have been sold these policies by General Portfolio or GAN between 1987 and 1997.
No case is too small for us. We want to help everyone and anyone who has suffered the extortionate and (we believe) illegal penalty charges banks, credit card companies, store cards and sometimes mortgage lenders apply to boost their profits whether the claim is for a few hundred pounds or several thousand.
